The Maasai Mara National Reserve, (1,812 sq. kms) offers wonderful scenery and an abundance of big game with its rolling plains and grasslands. It is reminiscent of “Hemingway Country”. There are very large herds of Buffalo, wilderbeast and various antelopes. In addition, hippo, giraffe, rhino, elephant and leopard are frequently seen. But the mara is reknowned for its magnificent black- manned lions with their large prides who spend most of the day sleeping in the shade of the acacia trees. The Maasai Mara is also the scene of the spectacular wildebeest migrations who come through the Mara in their 1000-km round annual trek from the southern plains in the Serengeti

3 DAYS MAASAI MARA (LODGE)

DAY 1: Nairobi - Maasai Mara
Leave Nairobi via the Great Rift Valley for Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Arriving in the Mara in time for lunch .After lunch proceed for the PM game viewing drive in the reserve in search of black manned lion, elephants, leopard, cheetah buffalo and other plains games. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: Maasai Mara
Proceed for an early morning pre breakfast game drive. Return to the lodge for breakfast. But the mara is reknowned for its magnificent black- manned lions with their large prides who spend most of the day sleeping in the shade of the acacia trees. The Maasai Mara is also the scene of the spectacular wildebeest migrations who come through the Mara in their 1000-km round annual trek from the southern plains in the Serengeti. After breakfast proceed for a further game drive. Return to the lodge for lunch. Have your siesta time till 03.30 P.m. followed by the late afternoon game drive. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: Maasai Mara - Nairobi
After breakfast, leave Maasai Mara for Nairobi with a game drive enroute arriving in the early afternoon.
