It is reminiscent of “Hemingway Country”. There are very large herds of Buffalo, wilderbeast and various antelopes. In addition, hippo, giraffe, rhino, elephant and leopard are frequently seen. But the mara is reknowned for its magnificent black- manned lions with their large prides who spend most of the day sleeping in the shade of the acacia trees. The Maasai Mara is also the scene of the spectacular wildebeest migrations who come through the Mara in their 1000-km round annual trek from the southern plains in the Serengeti The Great Rift Experience Sights: Rift Valley Escarpment and Game Viewing in Lake Nakuru National Park 
Depart from Nairobi for a 160km drive which starts with a view of the sprawling farm lands, connecting to the escarpment with breath-taking landscape of the Great Rift Valley . A stop-over at the escarpment allows you to enjoy and photograph the scenic beauty then proceed with the tour. On arrival at the park, enjoy a hearty meal and continue with an afternoon game drive focusing on the magnificent spectacle of the park's native birds – the flamingoes.

Mt. Kenya is a broad, largely symmetrical volcanic cone with a diameter of about 120km. and was formed between 2.6 and 3.1 million. It was possible that the original volcano was over 7000m in height, more than 2000 meters higher than today. Of the main peaks to the mountain, Batian 5,199m and Nelion 5,188 m, are only accessible to technical mountaineers, whilst Lenana,(4,985 m) is accessible to trekkers. Mount Kenya, straddling the equator, it's icy summit reaches to 5,199 m. The National Park consists of all areas above 3,200 m.
